HUDSON RIVER MURAL
            CELEBRATING the QUATRACENTENNIAL

This collaborative mural celebrates the Hudson River, honoring it’s significance for the past four-hundred years. It was created for the Dutchess County Fairgrounds by Resident-Artists of the Northeast Center for Special Care which serves those challenged by traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries, and related conditions. A dynamic community based project, such as this mural, draws in a wide group of artists, some of whom do not typically participate. As seen in the credits a few lead artists created the central imagery while a larger group created the border tiles. Below please explore this expressive depiction of the Hudson River covering parts of Dutchess, Ulster and Green Counties in New York State. A few landmarks are noted and may be easily recognized.
